CAS with stencil

Hello all, I am sharing a card which I made a couple of days before, but never had a chance to share. Life is pretty hectic nowadays, with packing and school finishing tomorrow, and gearing up for my summer, which will be a busy one with college, studies, and exams *phew*
I will be away from my blog for a good couple of weeks except some scheduled posts for the Challenge blog.

Ok onto the card now, it is one layered card, I used Heidi Swapp's honeycomb stencil in yellow and brown ink  just on the top and bottom edges, and the stamped the sentiment from STAMPlorations - trendy feathers, added a few rhine stones to finish off. A very simple card.

Good morning all, its time a new challenge at ATSM today, and it is a photo inspiration challenge.

Isn't it a beautiful photo?

Our sponsor today is

Prize is 4 digis from the store

I was inspired by the watercolored look and the gorgeous colors from the photo. I used water color markers, and stenciled some circles, and then sprayed some water over and moved around the card stock to get the water running.
I stamped the ME flower on the circles, and the sentiment is stamped in vintage photo ink. I added some splatters with the same color on the card, it is a one layered card. hope you like it water color is not my usual thing to try.

Stop by our challenge blog, The DT's have come up with some great inspiration for you all, and do join us.

Twine stamping #2

Hey all, I am back with the twine stamping, I told you that i will be experimenting with this. I used a circle shape this time on a double sided tape, simply added the string as a circle and inked up and did the stamping.
I used the Rangers Distress inks - ripe permission for the twine stamping, and I had used some leaves from WPlus Designs - embroidered bouquet in crushed olives, and some french knots in peacock feathers ink.
I added a die cut butterfly, inked this up in blue and black pigment ink. The sentiment is also from the WPlusDesigns set.

A picture of my twine wrapped on the double sided tape.

Heart framed chevrons

Hey friends, a quick share. I just finished this card.
I was inspired by the Paper Smooches challenge and the technique challenge at Just Us girls for this card.
I started with sponging chevrons on a rectangled stitched die cut panel, I used Heidi swapp's chevron stencil for this. I then used Paper Smooches wise die - love word, and used it on different card stocks to get the stacks.
Then I stamped the background base with sweet heart stamps from Paper Smooches again, in a yellow neon ink from Hero Arts, in different styled hearts.
Lastly I put together the stacks on the front, and done, didn't felt like adding any embellishments here.
This card looks more like a frame and not my usual card ;)

I was inspired by the Chevron box, and lid, that's why I used a stacked die cut technique to mimic the look here

Some more sponging

Hey all, I am back again with 2 cards, I did some sponging yet again today.
For the first one, I started with sponging the distress ink - stormy sky to the edge, and I sponged some balloons in different inks on the sky, and stamped the sentiment from Uniko Studio - simply said birthday.
Very Simple card.

Just going with some balloons, when I read the cue, 2 things came to mind - balloons & bubbles.
I am linking this at ATSM for our challenge blog , it is our 3rd anniversary, do join us for our CAS challenge.
-----------------------------

For the second one, I used a handmade striped stencil, and sponged with 2 inks for the front, and then I used a gold gel pen to draw lines by moving the stencil, a bit. I also added another tiny circular stamp with dots on the striped panels.
I added some doliy to the edge, and added the hand drawn and fuzzy cut tea cup. The sentiment is from Mama Elephants - water blooms.

I drew this cup using some oval stencils, and colored and fuzzy cut it to use on the card.

One layer cards

Hey all, I am up 2 one layer cards, one was made a few days back and the other one I made this morning. I am occupied with so many things nowadays that I don't find enough time to blog or share what I created.

The first one up is made using a circle stencil, I simply colored the circles in rainbow colors using different sizes of circles, and stamped the sentiment from Avery Elle - handwritten notes.

Hi from Jungle

Hey guys, I am up with another card, I just finished making it and thought of sharing it right away.
I had used the Paper Smooches free digi here, I colored the image with a color pencil and I stamped the background with my custom made tree stamps to create a jungle look here, and added stitches using a green shaded embroidery thread, I also stitched  a tiny bead for the dot of "i", I hope you can read the word "hi" in the stitches!!! lastly I used a green ink and sponged it on the card with a super light hand, and added a dark brown panel to the front before adding to the white base. Hope you all like this little hanging fellow saying "hi".

A closer look at the stitches.

Twine wrapped stamping

Hey everyone, today I am sharing a card using an old technique, I really don't know the name but I had done it on fabric, and trying on paper for the first time. You just need a string and wrap it around a block or any block shaped object, and ink it up and stamp it on fabric or paper.
It give a great textured background to your projects, and I really love it, very easy to do too.

I used Hero Arts, Neon red ink for this. I simply inked up the wrapped string and stamped around on the paper. used hero arts - Sketched letters for "Hello", and WPlusDesigns for "Friend", the rose is from my custom made stamps, I kept is monochromatic, I really like the finished card, it is super simple and looks good too. hope you like to.

Back with some cards

Hello everyone, I am posting after few days, the school is going to wind up soon here, we are Canadian curriculum here, and I find myself really busy during this time every year. With graduations, sport team gatherings to award ceremonies to what not...plus I always meet girl friends before I leave for summer vacations.
I made few cards during the stretch of last few days, sharing 3 today, as I don't find time nowadays to blog, my helper is sick and housework has become the priority than crafting ;) This is going to be a long post, lease bear with me or just scroll away ;)

A picture of my son and me, he attended his middle school graduation dinner.

The first one up is a CASE of Virginia's card at STAMPlorations.

I just loved this card the moment I laid my eyes on it, I love  everything about it, I am trying to case it with Mama Elephant - freestlye florals here, the sentiment is also from the same company but different set - water blooms. I stamped, masked, and hea embossed the flowers and leaves in gold, and then colored the vellum with markers.
Stamped the sentiment on kraft and added a chipboard with black and white stripes to mimic Virginia's card. I added some orange shaded twine, and some rhine stones to finish off.

The second one up is made after I saw some beautiful pictures on Facebook, and I am just using this picture as my inspiration. I inked up the card with different inks here, I have used many different shades here. The top is die cut with spell binders die, and I added  a pale pink paper behind the die cut. The twine is also shaded in pink, and I added two different colored metal hearts, plus some matching sequins to finish off this one.
I forgot to mention that I stamped the  some flowers from WPlusDesigns in the matching colors using the same inks.
