Monochromatic Lotus

Happy Sunday everyone, I am up with a simple card, this one is one of the 4 cards, I made for the local art competition.

I started with a water color paper, started the lotus from Waffle Flower in squeezed lemonade distress ink, and used the same ink to water color it. I did 2 flowers, and added it in a 2 step way to give more dimension.
I used the same ink for the background, and used stencil to ink the broad stripes. Added it to the base, and the flower and sentiment, which is from the same set. I added gols strips on the base card, and a few gold jewels to finish off. Hope you like it.

Get well soon

Happy Friday friends, I have been busy in my craft room, with quite a bit of crafting, but all those cards need to wait a while before they see the light on my blog!
I am up with a simple card today, I made this yesterday night.  It's all in kraft. I used the stamps from Avery Elle from 2 different sets, stamped the balloon in red, and doodled the string myself.
The sentiment is from another set.
Punched the corners, and added a few black rhinestones to finish off, Ultra CAS.
I am loving the all kraft look though.

Acetate and vellum together

Good evening blogger peeps, it's night and I usually don't post at this time. It just happened that I finished making a card, and then I saw on Instagram Hannelie's card for CASology, and bingo...it matches the cue, this doesn't happen that often. So I looked at the time, it's past 9, and I have quite a bit of time to write a post ;)

Ok as you all know that I am bitten by the acetate bug, I made one yesterday also, I am holding that one for a while before I post.
Using acetate is very easy, and I find stamping on acetate is fun and very forgiving, all you need is to keep a wet wipe handy, if you make a mistake, just wipe immediately, unlike card stock, where you have to think of ways to cover up or trash it ;)

I chose Uniko's bold blooms here, and stamped in Hero Arts Ombre ink, and then used clear embossing powder to heat emboss. The leaves are stamped using the wild wasabi from SU and heat embossed. I fussy cut all to add to the base. I used a white back and a acetate front for my card. I stamped some leaves on acetate, and arranged the flowers and leaves. The flower is cut out in 2 steps to give more dimension.
The sentiment is from Uniko - get well soon set, I lined it with a pale green. That's all, I am calling it a CAS card, and hoping that looking at so many elements people, still consider it CAS. It was a quick make.
I have quite a few pictures, I usually craft in night, and take pictures in the morning under natural light, but I was bit eager to share this card, and hoping I have done justice with the pictures.

Embossed bauble

Hello all, my second post of the day.
I am making some Christmas cards for a friend, otherwise I usually won't start making Christmas cards this early. As I don't celebrate it, and I only send Christmas cards to my friends. But I have a feeling I will be making quite a few, to deliver it to the art store, which sells my cards.

I chose a pale green textured base for my card, I have chosen panels of white and a Christmas Patern paper for the front. I used a red textures card strips to line up the top and bottom edges, and only a partial piece in middle.
The bauble and leaves are from Uniko's new release in October. I heat embossed the bauble in silver, and added stamped and fussy cut holly leaves.

A closer look at the embossing, picturing shimmery things isn't easier, as you know.

MAsculine Christmas card

Happy Monday blogger peeps, I am up with a simple masculine card.
I used distress inks - chipped sapphire, tumbled glass and salty ocean to sponge the background. Then I did the ghosting using ARTplorations on my starts stencil.
I used the same distress inks to stamp the snowflakes from Uniko studio, I added a blue glittey paper and a silver glittery on the bottom of the panel, a few jewels to finish off. The sentiment is also from the same set.
That is it, I hope you all like it.

Closer look at the ghosting, the stars are visible quite well.

Inspired by Fall

Hey all, my second post of the day. Just wanted to share a few cards sitting on my desk.

This one is my favorite maple leaves inspired card. I did sponging in a scattered manner, using the same hand -cut maple leaf stencil, I have. This time using more of yellow than the browns. The sentiment is stamped in black from HLS - mix mash set, the strip is lined up with some brown card.
A few jewels to finish off.

Gold Mandala

Happy Sunday to one and all.
I am up with a super clean and simple card, which I made yesterday.

I used just white, and gold here. I heat embossed the big Mandala from Uniko - Marvellous Mehendi in gold, fuzzy cut to add it as my focal point.
The sentiment is from 2 different sets from Uniko.
A few jewels to finish off, I love the look of this card.

Black and orange

Hey all, I though sharing another card, I have a couple of cards waiting to be posted, so here it goes.
I have used an orange textured base here, and a white front. I used Uniko Beautiful blooms and stamped in grey and black to create the background. Then used one bloom and heat embossed in vellum, stamped it 3 times, to get the dimensional look, bu cutting out 3 sections from each flower.
The flower layers are added with foam adhesive, and a twine on the top plus few jewels to finish off.
The sentiments are also from Uniko.

Never Give Up

Good morning/day blogger friends. I am up with a simple tone on tone stamping card.
I chose a shimmer pink card stock fro the front, and a white base. I used Uniko - round and round to stamp the background using Pink Pirouette from SU. The sentiment stamps are from Hero Arts - Sketched letter, and Casual Friday - hope.
I added a vellum die cut butterfly with some jewels on it, and a few more jewels to finish off. A white floss at the top, that is it.
